六年級生的音樂回憶...Jason Donovan

Jason Donovan - Too many broken hearts


在1990年代中之前台灣能接觸的外國音樂的管道不多

其中有大多數都是經由廣播接觸到的.

除了美軍電台ICRT之外, 最常會撥外國音樂的大概就是警廣余光的廣播節目了吧

而當時唯一會介紹外國音樂的似乎也只有余光雜誌而已(我當時還都用微薄的零用錢存錢買)

電視節目的話, 也是余光(簡直是壟斷台灣西洋音樂市場!)在華視主持的一個放MV的節目. 記得是在禮拜六下午的華視. 每個禮拜都滿心期待的收看.

而Jason Donovan就是在我在某一集的電視節目聽到認識的藝人. 而這首Too many broken hearts好像就是當初看到的那部MV.(當時國一...)



上面的那位女生你認得出來是誰嘛?

沒錯, 就是Kylie Minogue! 他們兩個人最初是演出一部澳洲很出名的肥皂劇"Neighbour"而崛起. 兩人被譽為是當時的金童玉女.(至於有沒有交往我就不知道) 而且由於後來該劇紅到英國, 也讓Kylie Minogue走出澳洲, 往英國發展. 上面這張照片, 就是他們兩個合出的單曲, Especially For You 的封面.

雖然Jason Donovan是走偶像路線, 但是還真的唱紅了不少好歌, 雖然有些是翻唱的老歌. 如下面的Happy together 還有 Sealed with a kiss.

記得開始工作後的第三年, 跟一個同事無意間聊到這個人, 我還特地燒了CD給這位同事回味.

轉眼間自從認識Jason Donovan這個藝人到現在, 好像也過了十幾快二十年了. 光陰飛逝. 當初的金童現在也變成這般落魄的模樣...



只能說: 這就是人蔘啊~





後記:

1. 這篇文章其實是看電影看到一半中斷寫的. 我正在看The Simpson Movie, 演到他老爹還有兒子在餐廳看到豬的那段, 突然響起很耳熟的音樂. google了一下才發現原來就是Happy together.

2. 我竟然在認識這位歌手N年之後的今天, 在看他的wiki資料, 才發現他跟我同一天生日...真巧!

這個樂團, 也是從我哥抽屜裡面的那堆錄音帶裡面聽到的東西.

Bad Boys Blue我還記得那捲卡帶把它翻成是"憂傷男孩". 現在想想覺得有點俗氣. 但是還蠻適合我這種憂鬱風格的. 這也是我最早接觸音樂之一. 想當時愛不釋手, 三不五時都拿著我媽從日本買回來的Sony隨身聽放著在聽. (除了我哥在的時候...因為我都是爬窗戶偷進他房間的...)

在那個盜版國外音樂猖獗的時代(也不能怪盜版, 當時除了美軍電台-ICRT之外, 台灣大概就只有余光的節目可以接觸到外國音樂, 更別說代理了), 估計我哥當時收藏的這捲卡帶也應該是盜版的. (當時卡帶隨身聽才剛出生沒多久啊!!!)

說起我哥那三個抽屜, 實在很神奇! 從李察克萊德門到槍與玫瑰, 到進行曲全輯都有! 對於當時還小又很好奇的我真的是很有吸引力. 我想, 這對於後來的我能廣泛接觸各種音樂, 應該是有很大的影響.

曲風就是當時很流行的Disco, 除此之外, 我也不知道怎麼介紹他們. 我覺得他們的歌似乎會比他們的名字有鑑識度一點.

你應該是沒聽過這個樂團, 但是我打包票這些音樂你一定耳熟能詳!(如果你夠資深的話啦!)我剛剛發現, 事隔多年, 我竟然還能跟著唱....哈哈!!!

看到上面的影片我笑了...看來當時的藝人比較好混, 搖搖屁股, 頂多再加上抖抖腳就ok了...不像現在三不五時要劈腿.(倒是很久沒看到類似小虎隊的後空翻了...)

六年級生的音樂回憶...Mr. Big

Wild World

說到六年級生的搖滾樂, 怎麼能忘記Mr. Big呢?

追溯一下時間回溯一下記憶, 我應該是在高中階段認識Mr. Big的. 這個團不知道為什麼在日本非常紅. 雖然是個搖滾樂團, 但是我喜歡的他們的歌都是很軟調的歌. 聽起來旋律琅琅上口實在是容易令人印象深刻.

大一大二的時候好像也還很愛聽Mr. Big, 大三開始比較廣泛的接觸其他樂風之後他們也在我的記憶中慢慢消失...不過偶而還是能聽到電台撥他們的To Be With You這首歌. 因為實在是太經典了.

另外說到這個團, 也不能不講到他們吉他手Paul Gilbert. 雖然我對吉他沒啥研究, 但是會聽搖滾樂的人多少都會聽過這個人的名字. 套句網路上找到的一句形容他的話: 他的技巧是吉他界公認的屌!!!

六年級生的音樂回憶...Nelson

After The Rain

這應該是專屬於我的六年級生的音樂回憶. 我想應該很少人認識這個樂團.

Nelson是由Nelson兄弟組的樂團. 出生於音樂世家(老爸是Ricky Nelson不過我不是很熟).

總之, 當時國中的我還不懂得什麼叫做叛逆. (當時流行的GNR我也是很後來才聽過.) 忘了在什麼情況之下聽過Nelson這個樂團. 兩兄弟飄逸的金色長髮唱著很帶勁的搖滾樂常讓我一個人聽的很high.

發行的首張專輯After the Rain(Geffen 1990)也是我買的第一張CD! 當時CD還很稀有, 我買了CD但其實家裡並沒有CD Player可以聽. 還是只能聽錄音帶...

其實聽Nelson這件事已經漸漸從我記憶中淡忘. 由於寫了Just Kiddin' !: 六年級生的音樂回憶...Michael Learns to Rock這篇文章才讓我又重新想起一開始接觸音樂的那些感動. 所以我私下決定最近都以這個為主題發表文章.

After The Rain跟後面這一首(Can't Live Without Your) Love And Affection是這張專輯裡面我最喜歡的兩首歌...下面這個MV應該是錄音帶轉的, 有些地方有點變調. 介意的話可以看這段比較乾淨.

(五)六年級生的音樂回憶...搖滾老公鷄 Rod Stewart

Forever Young

這首歌, 由Rod Stewart來唱真的很適合. 已經六十二歲, 1945年出生的Rod Stewart真的是Forever Young. 一直到現在都還在公開表演開演唱會.

Rod Stewart其實應該算是屬於五年級的音樂回憶. 雖然我是六年級中段般. 但是身為家裡老么, 哥哥跟姐姐都大我很多(10, 9歲), 當我在國小的時候他們都已經在唸高中/大學了. 在那個錄音帶還很流行的年代, 他們除了留了很多書給我看之外, 我最愛的還是那好幾個抽屜, 聽也聽不完的錄音帶. 那個階段的我實在很幸福, 每天看一堆文學名著, 沉浸在音樂世界.(我哥愛音樂, 買了那好幾個抽屜的錄音帶. 而我姐愛文學, 買了好幾個書櫃的書)

而就是在那個時候認識Rod Stewart這個人. 帶著有點沙啞的嗓音, 再加上貌不驚人的外表...我其實也不太清楚他怎麼崛起的. 他身上辨識度最高的莫過於他的髮型吧. 怒髮衝冠頭, 所以又被取名叫做搖滾公雞.(現在老了應該叫搖滾老公雞)

嗓音說是沙啞, 其實又帶著點滄桑. 唱起Sailing恰如其分, 就讓我直接聯想到在海上漂泊的感覺...

That's Why You Go Away

今天碰巧又聽到Michael Learns to Rock, 才又想到這個屬於六年級生的老團.

曾經在亞洲風靡一時的MLTR, 唱的是英文歌, 但卻是來自丹麥的樂團.

說是樂團, 但是曲風是很流行走向的. 對小時後候很喜歡聽英文歌的我來說實在是很對味.

其實說小也沒有多小. 好像是高中或大學時期吧...

後來好像就突然消聲匿跡了...不過好像今年(2007)還有去台灣開演唱會的樣子

雖然現在的我已經比較少聽流行歌了,

但隔了這麼久之後又重聽這些歌, 還是覺得很有味道...
